The Copperchase partnership with one of Europe's leading VCCS suppliers, Schmid Telecom of Switzerland, has seen success with the installation of a VCCS system into Stansted Airport's Contingency Visual Control Room (CVCR). Although the nature of the project was somewhat diverse from standard installations, Stansted awarded the contract to Schmid. The installation of the system was performed by Copperchase within approximately 2 months; a relatively short time frame considering the system components which included a Schmid ICS 200/60 Voice Switch Communication System, independent UPS and a main distribution frame for the equipment room. Derek Brien, Senior Engineer of NATS responsible for the project coordination remarked, "We are perfectly happy with the product and its subsequent installation. Although the contract is with Schmid Telecom, NATS are very satisfied with the effort and team work provided by Copperchase". Derek continued, "… The value of using familiar and trusted resources, namely Schmid Telecom and Copperchase, resulted in the timely delivery of a successful Project".
