Copperchase and Haysys Sign VDF Agreement

On March 16th 2006, Copperchase Limited Business Development Director Tony Myers and the Managing Director of Haysys Limited, Mr. Joseph Hayden signed a Collaboration Agreement for exclusive supply and development of VHF Direction Finding (VDF) and Auto-Triangulation (AT) Systems for both ATC and Marine applications.

As with all partnership agreements, the basis is a mutually-shared benefit for both parties. Copperchase supports the partnership by providing Sales opportunities, Marketing and installation services for the Haysys products range. Haysys bring the latest in new technology, and innovative solutions.

Copperchase and HAYSYS offer a unique and innovative VDF solution for Aviation and Marine applications through the use of both Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and equipment designed specifically for Direction Finding (DF) applications in an Air Traffic Control (ATC) environment. 

The unique flexibility of the VDF solution in terms of the display equipment and number of simultaneous monitored frequency channels, provide the customer with a level of system re-configuration capability.

Some of the key technical features of the VDF solution are:

  • A Unique blend of both COTS and bespoke equipment.
     

  • HAYSYS Ltd are the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for most key equipments.
     

  • Highly cost effective solution.
     

  • Effective Integrated Support Solution (ISS) strategy with ISS influencing equipment and system design.
     

  • Effective Man Machine Interface (MMI) with single action operation.
     

  • System based on modularised equipment providing increased flexibility.
     

  • Up to 4 frequencies can be monitored simultaneously with only one EDF processor (Multiple EDF processor may be installed).
     

  • Multiple interface capability providing direct connections to other ATC systems.
     

  • Equipment based upon the latest state-of-the-art FPGA technology utilising System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures.
