The Schmid “Traffic” System is chosen for Durham Tees Valley Airport
In January 2007, Copperchase Ltd (UK) was selected by the airport operators, Peel Holdings plc, to supply, install and commission the Schmid Telecom “Traffic” Voice Communication System for Tower and Approach Control at Durham Tees Valley Airport in the UK. The system is to be operational for Spring 2007.

About the ICS “Traffic” product range
The Integrated Communication System “Traffic” offers seamless integration of both the air- to-ground and ground-to-ground communications used for ATC. The digital system is based on the 2 Mbps E1 standards and supports a wide range of voice communication interfaces required for ATC communications. Starting with compact ATC tower solutions, the system can be expanded to meet the demands of international airports and ACCs. Through standard interfaces, internetworking of several communication systems is easily supported.
