Belfast City selects Ricochet

Belfast City Airport selected the world’s premier ATC voice recording, logging and replay system Ricochet as part of the total solution to upgrade their Control Tower.

Systems Interface, the prime contractor for the Belfast project, sub-contracted Copperchase for the supply, installation and commissioning into service of the Ricochet ATC Recorder.

The Copperchase solution records up to 48 channels of audio with the option to expand this number in the future. It records data to RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) and archives to removable storage media (DVD) for long-term storage and, when necessary, for transcription by either the UK CAA or UK AAIB.
