Copperchase and AGI partnership
Copperchase and their Poole neighbour, AGI, have established a business collaboration to supply ATC data management and MET display systems to airports worldwide.
Copperchase target the small and medium-sized worldwide ATC airport sector, providing a range of ATC data management and information display systems. AGI produce Instrumented Runway Visual Range (IRVR) systems aimed at the same market sector.
The Copperchase products to be supplied are the Flight Data Management System (FDMS), the METSYS for MET data collection and the ATC Information Display System (IDS), an ATC Intranet for the dissemination and presentation of critical information in the ATC environment.
The AGI products are the AGIVIS 2000 and the AGIVIS FSI. The AGIVIS 2000 is a transmissometer-based measurement system used for CAT III airport runways. It uses patented transmitter and receiver pairs, with local signal processing. For CAT I and CAT II airports, AGI provide the AGVIS FSI system. This system uses Biral forward scatter sensors and is cost-effective for medium-sized and small airports.
Copperchase will offer the AGI IRVR equipment integrated into their METSYS equipment. Data from METSYS is in a web page form, making it easy to distribute to ATC operators.
AGI will benefit through Copperchase’s ATC systems integration capability where airports require a turn-key airport information system.
A joint Memorandum of Understanding has been signed that will enable both companies to expand their worldwide market penetration.
