Copperchase Air Traffic Engineering Systems group is a team of dedicated engineers offering a full ATE service to established and emerging airfields. Primary services include the supply, installation and maintenance of ATC equipment.
AGL Control & Monitoring System
The Copperchase AGL Control & Monitoring System offers state of the art touch-screen and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) packages tailored to the individual needs of the airfield operation. Airfield layouts are redrawn electronically and configured to accommodate changes to layout and additional circuits. A modular PLC allows for increased numbers of Input/Outputs (I/Os) to be added quickly and easily.
ATC Alarms Monitoring System
The Copperchase Alarms Monitoring System for airfield ground-based ATC systems and navigational aids offers state-of-the-art touch-screen and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) packages tailored to the individual needs of the airfield operation. The system can be economically modified each time air traffic facilities are altered. Alarm-panel layouts are redrawn electronically and configured to accommodate changes to layout and additional circuits. A modular PLC allows for increased numbers of Input/Outputs (I/Os) to be added quickly and easily. The screens can be designed and adapted to suit the individual user’s needs.
Clearance To Land Indicator (CTLI)
The Copperchase Clearance To Land Indicator (CTLI) is a non-verbal communication tool for ATC use at airport and en-route control centres.
A typical system comprises a VCR panel with Request indicator/Cancel button, audible sounder, red, amber and green button/lamps, RAD 1 & 3 button/lamps and RAD 2 lamp. The system allows for up to three Approach panels, each with red, amber and green indicators, a Request button/indicator and a Cancel button/indicator. There is also an audible warning device, which is linked to the red indicator.
Crash Alarm System
The Copperchase Hotline6 Crash Alarm System is a rapid-access, direct-line, telephone alerting system. The system can be configured to automatically make up to six simultaneous outgoing calls from the controller when the handset is lifted; alternatively it can be set so that the appropriate line key has to be pressed. The LEDs adjacent to each button reflect the call status: flashing green for outgoing, flashing red for incoming, and solid green for a call established. This allows the user to determine exactly who is on-line and listening to the instructions. Links will also be set against each user to determine whether they have “talk and listen” or “listen only” ability.
Emergency Handset System (EHS)
The Copperchase Emergency Handset System (EHS) can be used in airports of all sizes, from small regional airports to the larger international airports. The EHS is an independent system and does not support inter-console communication. However, two of the telephone channels can be cross-connected to form a simple intercom.
Voice & Data Recorder
Copperchase can supply PC based Recorders or dedicated, purpose built (hardware) Recorders all conforming to the standards and recommendations imposed by ICAO (Annex 10, Volume II, Chapter 3.5).
Small Voice Communications Control System (SVCCS)
The Copperchase Small Voice Communications Control System (SVCCS) is targeted at the smaller regional airports market for voice communications. The system consists of a base system with remote consoles connected via standard Cat5 cable and external adaptor cards for conversion from the base control unit out to the external radio and telephony connections.
VHF Radio Direction Finder (VDF)
Copperchase offer a unique and innovative VDF solution for aviation applications through the use of both COTS products and equipment designed specifically for DF applications in an ATC environment.
The unique flexibility of the VDF solution, in terms of the display equipment and number of simultaneously monitored frequency channels, provides the customer with a level of system reconfiguration capability.
Four Radio Control Panel (KBP990)
The KBP990 is a compact Voice Switching Control Panel for up to 4 radio channels. Fitted with a Goose-Neck microphone, each channel has a push button to select the desired state of that channel (Active/Monitor). For pairs of led’s indicate to the operator of the state of each respective radio channel.
