The Copperchase AFTN/SITA Message Terminal is a single PC operator position giving access to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) AFTN and SITA networks. The Terminal may be configured either as a standalone workstation or on a Local Area Network. The SITA communication facility has been developed using the SITA Software Development Kit (SDK) for use with SITATEX DOS and Windows applications.
Applications
Remove the two dedicated terminals or teletypes that you currently have connected to the two distinct networks, AFTN and SITA and combine them in one workstation using a single user-friendly Windows interface. Bridge the communications gap between the world of ATC and Flight Operations on a single workstation.
In Europe, the Central Flow Management Unit (CFMU) of the Integrated Flight Planning System (IFPS) in Brussels communicates Flight Filing and Flow/Slot information either over the AFTN or SITA. Networks. The Copperchase AFTN/SITA Message Terminal allows an Operator or ATC Unit to communicate seamlessly with the CFMU via the network of choice. When used in conjunction with the Copperchase Departure Slot Monitor (Option) to receive and send Flow/Slot messages over the AFTN or SITA Network, the Copperchase AFTN/SITA Terminal becomes a very powerful tool for the monitoring and expeditious management of aircraft departures.
User Friendly
The Man Machine Interface for the AFTN/SITA Message Terminal is driven by
user-friendly menu systems based in MS Windows, reassuringly familiar to the majority of users, intuitively simple to learn for those new to computers. The standard Copperchase movement message form-fills are also provided as part of the application.
